Lapdolls Ragdoll Cattery is a small family cattery in Vancouver, Washington. We run this website ourselves. If anything below is unclear, or you want to know exactly what we hold on you, email lapdolls@gmail.com and we will tell you.
The inquiry form on our contact page asks for your name, email address, phone number, the town or state you live in, how you heard about us, what you are hoping for in a kitten, and whatever you write in the message box. You choose how much of that to fill in.
The form is processed by Netlify, the company that hosts this site. Your answers are stored in our Netlify account and emailed to us. We read them, we reply, and if you go on to adopt a kitten we keep the correspondence as part of that kitten’s record. We do not sell or trade your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list. Emails and phone calls that come to us directly are treated the same way.
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies in your browser and reports back to Google the pages you viewed, roughly how long you stayed, the site or search that sent you, your device and browser type, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. None of it tells us who you are, and we never try to match it to an inquiry.
You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and if you would rather not be counted at all, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on that blocks it everywhere.
Netlify also keeps ordinary server logs, which record IP addresses and requested pages for security and troubleshooting. We do not use those logs for marketing.
The only cookies this site sets itself are the Google Analytics ones described above, named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code for this property. Blocking or deleting them in your browser settings will not stop any part of the site working. Embedded content from other companies, listed next, may set its own cookies once it loads.
Some pages pull in material hosted elsewhere, and those companies can see your IP address and browser details when the page loads:
Each of those companies handles that data under its own privacy policy, not ours.
Some links on the supplies page earn us a small commission if you buy through them. Clicking one takes you to that retailer, and from then on their cookies and their privacy policy apply. We say the same thing on the supplies page itself. Buying nothing has no bearing on adopting a kitten from us.
Inquiries that do not lead to an adoption are kept while we might still hear back from you, and cleared out after about two years. Records tied to an actual adoption we keep for the life of the cat, because buyers ask us years later for a pedigree, a vaccination date, or the name of a littermate. Google Analytics data is held by Google for 14 months and then deleted automatically.
Email lapdolls@gmail.com and ask, and we will remove your inquiry from our Netlify account and our inbox. Tell us the email address you used so we can find it. There is no form to fill in and we will not ask you why.
This site is meant for adults looking to adopt a cat. We do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us their details through the form, email us and we will delete them.
If we start using something new, we will update this page and change the date at the top. There is no version history, so if it matters to you, save a copy.
